About this calculator. It is a guide only and does not make an offer of credit or a recommendation about any loan. Figures use the rate, term and amounts you enter and assume the rate stays the same for the whole loan. Interest is worked out for each repayment period on the loan balance less any money held in an offset account (the offset balance is held steady). Extra repayments are spread across your repayment periods. Fees, charges, rate changes and tax are not included. Accelerated repayments are the monthly repayment divided by 2 (fortnightly) or 4 (weekly), paid every fortnight or week, which is 26 or 52 payments a year. For an existing loan, the pay-off date assumes the rate you enter stays the same from today on, and the repayment either stays the same or is reset by your lender to keep your end date; real rates and repayments change over time, so treat the result as a rough guide. Your lender's own figures will differ. Speak to us for advice that fits your situation.
